About

As part of its Creative People and Places programme the Arts Council has reserved £1 million for new arts activity in Corby over the next three years.

Made in Corby will deliver lasting change in Corby in the levels of arts participation and the quality of life of the town and its villages for all its communities. Made in Corby sustains throughout the three years of the programme , 2014-2016 – and beyond – a passion and commitment to making brilliant art that will inspire, encourage, engage and thrill.  We are revisiting the sense of Corby as a making place, creating and promoting reputation that will create impact and reach further than the Borough boundaries.

In programmed development, Made in Corby will be true to the three principles established at the start of the process some two years ago.   Decisions informing the business plan have been made in partnership with the community, activities are ambitious; all will contribute and invest in the town and its people.

The consortium Board is led by Groundwork Northamptonshire as the accountable body and includes The Core at Corby Cuble, Corby Community Arts, NEP, Creative Northants and Corby Unity. The consortium is currently finalising the third draft of the business plan following extensive and useful feedback from ACE, who are highly supportive of the Made in Corby plans.

Corby’s commitment to arts-led regeneration has been a distinctive feature of local planning and Made in Corby builds on this excellent work.Extensive consultation with communities, artists and other partners has forged a programme  that recognises some of the excellent art already being made in our estates and villages. A Made in Corby Taster programme, Are You In?, delivered from January to March 2014,  will suggest , inspire and announce
